The publishing of the Spanish National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan, PNIEC, and the repeal of the Sun Tax have generated a new solar “boom” in Spain. Now, taking advantage of solar energy to promote the economy and the environment is possible.

CHALLENGES OF THE SPANISH SOLAR INDUSTRY
The global increase in the market supposes an improvement of commercial opportunities. In 2019 -until November- more than 4 GW of renewable generation power were installed, of which 64% was photovoltaic. In Spain, the Ministry for the Ecological Transition issued a decree that regulates a new remuneration framework for the generation of electricity from renewable sources. This measure is expected to avoid possible increases in rates.
